Understanding Wikipedia

About sources

Finding your own comfort level with sources is pretty deep.

When you see Wikipedia used as a source, you can in turn look at that Wikipedia article’s own citations. A paragraph in Wikipedia may cite several sources—is it more useful to you to see only one of those sources, or to see all of the citations associated with the piece of info? A general rule of thumb is that referring to Wikipedia is referring to several related sources, instead of referring to just one.
